A Website Update!

Hi, if you’re seeing this post it’s because I am updating ThisIsCT.net and moving over to Word Press. This site will be up and running and back to normal shortly.

The events calendar is back online at: http://thisisct.net/events-calendar/

The brand new Facebook page is online. As part of my shameless self-promotion binge, and despite how cheesy this sounds to me, I’d like to ask you to “like me” on Facrbook or follow me on Twitter.  I tweet all the time about all things CT.

More updates to come….

Horrible Website

Posted by on Friday, 25 June, 2010

Hello, this is a brief website update for ThisIsCT.net. I haven’t had a lot of time to work on it recently, certainly have not given it the time it deserves, because it needs a MAJOR update, and taking on such a huge challenge is rather daunting. So, right now, we have a “band-aid” solution. The blog/updates are appearing via RSS on the main page or at this link since the host Blogger stopped allowing me to publish via FTP to my own domain. Thanks a lot Blogger.

I am currently in the planning stages of moving to WordPress. I like what I see so far, just slightly worried about being able to commit to one theme, and stick with it. I don’t want to do a “theme of the week” website.

That’s about it. Thank you for visiting, and hopefully I will be able to update more regularly in the near future. I appreciate the feedback, if you would like to leave a comment for me.

I do regularly update my Twitter page with news and events and all things Connecticut. Visit: http://twitter.com/this_is_ct
Thank you,
Linzi

This Is Connecticut Events Calendar Update

Posted by on Saturday, 1 November, 2008

I have updated the Connecticut Events Calendar using Google Calendar. It’s easy to use, and it loads much faster than the old calendar, which as it turns out, was about three miles long if you printed it out.

To see full details of an event just click on the event title and a drop down view with all the event details appears. The new calendar also includes a link to Google maps for directions to the event locations.

You can also scroll through the weeks or months using the arrows at the top left corner or click on the date to see a drop down calendar view and select a date. Visit the events calendar here.

I’d love to have feedback from any readers.
